    For some reason, the directors of the latest Halloween remake are insisting the movie be called a “recalibration” rather than a “reboot”. What the distinction is is beyond me but whatever.

    Anyways, the movie is being directed by one of the Saw directors. Perhaps it will feature more drawn out torture and less stabby stab? Michael Meyers was always a pretty simple and one dimensional villain. Would it be a good or bad thing if he revealed more of his origin story, motivations and thinking? There’s something to be said for a villain whose motivations aren’t understood.
